Eek. A real project!

Since Second Sock Syndrome is such a killer, I've decided to start a "real" project, i.e. something I can wear that isn't socks. There's nothing wrong with socks, of course, but it's refreshing to use needles that are too big to give me tetanus with one wrong move. I love the back on this cami by Marnie MacLean. It's called "Deciduous," presumably because of the cable pattern on the front. Now I'm not really one to show off a lot of skin, but I'm a sucker for things that resemble corsets (I have this thing for historical fashions). So, without further adieu, here's how far I am at this very moment:

The yarn is Cotton Fleece in "Dusty Sage" by Brown Sheep. So far I really like the feel of this yarn. It doesn't have the coarseness that a lot of cottons seem to have. Nice and soft!

On a side note, I've also purchased enough TLC Cotton Plus in red for Marnie's Bella Paquita shirt. Now I'm not normally one to go for the cheapy yarns, but I really liked how sarahlois' (ravelry links, sorry) Bella turned out, and the cotton will be nice to work with/wear when it's warm outside. I haven't done anything with the yarn so far, but I'm positive about it so far since it didn't cost an arm, a leg, and a first-born child, not to mention it doesn't have that rough itchy look that a lot of cheapy yarns do. We shall see. We shall see...
