So I'm sure this cast-on is fine and dandy, but I, for the life of me, can't get any decent looking fabric from it (unless the knotty toe is the goal, although pictures suggest differently). I've been attempting (for the last god-knows-how-long) to do Judy Becker's magic cast-on on DPNs because I'm stubborn and refuse to knit socks on circulars. I have this thing for the old-fashioned, I guess. Nevertheless, my yarn, in another fit of frustration, just lies there limply, like a little pile of yarn barf... and separate from the five little DPNs lying on the pattern. They're mocking me. Mocking me, I tell you.
I will get this. After all, there's no such thing as magic.
Also, I feel compelled to throw in a quote that seems relevant here (yay for Google).
"Still, I know of no higher fortitude than stubbornness in the face of overwhelming odds”Now, I feel it'd be a tad inappropriate for me to quote some dead guy that I'd never heard of until today, so here's a link to his Wikipedia article.
